Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I so hope everyone had a good holiday season.

December was especially busy for me.
It started off  at the begining of the month with our special Banquet event at church, then Rowan's band concert, Christmas play, Christmas service, Jesus's birthday service, Christmas dinner with close friends, caroling, packing, moving, and finally Watch Night service (New Year's Eve). Plus I still had my weekly appointments to attend. Phew.

No wonder I just did not find the time or energy to sit down and write a blog, the whole month just went by in a blur.

So here I am a week into January just finally calming down after all the excitement. I got the last bit of our moving/cleaning of the old apartment done on Jan. 3rd, my keys and mail box done by the 5th. I am so releived and thankful that is over!

It just feels so good starting the new year off in a fresh new place. A great time and opportunity to get good habbits started for a healthier lifestyle in body, mind, & soul. Taking each day one at a time and making sure God is in the forefront of our lives.

The "bare necessities" are already unpacked. Now I can take my time to unpack and sort through everything else. I do still have some cleaning in the kitchen & bathroom before I can finish unpacking those rooms. Nothing much just wiping down cupoboards and shelves and getting contact paper down. That will be my priority area before I move onto the living/dining room area. My bedroom will eventually fall into place once those other areas get done. Rowan's room is pretty much done and decorated. Which is good since school starts back on Monday Jan. 9th.

Once school starts back up it will be easier to get back onto a regular schedule and finding a routine. One that will hopefully fit with our new surroundings with a healthier lifestyle in mind. I already feel better just being in our new place for a whole week. Not breathing in the smoke, dust, mold, mice debri, and who knows what else, has helped immensely. Also just having the stress removed from the other building feels like a huge weight has been lifted. I still have a long road ahead especially where my health is concerned but I finally feel like I am living in an enviroment that will be of help and not a hinderance.

I will now take a moment to thank Jesus for everything He has done for me throughout this whole process. For the church family He has given me and the help & support they have been. The apartment that was found and now living in, the opportunity to witness to others and share a part of my story & faith with them. The peace, strength, endurance, love and joy that has surrounded me. Thank you Jesus, I love and appreciate you so much! In Jesus name Amen.

Again thank you Reader for taking the time to read my post, until next time...

Take care & God Bless!

Worst Blogger Ever!

Yup, just as the title states, I have to be one of the WORST BLOGGERs EVER! It is now 2016 and I began putting this blog page together in 2014, before that I had attempted another blog on a different site. None of which have been very successful because, I just don't write enough! The whole idea of the blog is to write, be it sharing ideas, recipes, other hobbies, personal stories, works of fiction, etc. You get the idea, (that is if you are reading this.) Not sure if anyone has stumbled on this sad blog for quiet a while and actually reads anything I post. If that is the case I guess I will just ramble on to myself, nothing new there, I do it all the time at home. On the rare chance that you are reading this, Thank you sooo much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your perusal of my blog, there is not much here at the moment, still very much a work in progress.

Anyhoo I digress, which is a bad habit of mine. The t-shirts that say, "I don't have an attention prob-.... Oh, look a Rabbit!" That would be me. Just thought I would give a fair warning, I will attempt to stay on topic as much as possible, it is just the scenic route can be much more entertaining don't you think?

Now where was I, oh yes, WORST BLOGGER EVER! I simply do not write enough, I am very random and have no schedule. I do get, what I think are funny ideas or inspirations to write, but if I don't stop what I am doing that very moment and write, well by the time I sit down to write my mind goes blank. Rather annoying that. I know one key thing to writing is to just write, be it non-sense or something more substantial. Writing is a habit the more you do it the easier it gets, the more ideas will just flow out, (most of the time). That's the idea anyway.

For my New Years resolution this year, is to just be better, that includes everything, like writing my blog. I want to write, I have several short stories and story ideas, I actually enjoyed essay writing in school. I also have tons of poetry and well just want to write, period. I think having a blog would be fun and a good way to get writing. There will be times I have specific things I want to write about and other times I will just have to just start putting random thoughts down just to get the flow going. The point is at least one day a week, I will sit down and post something to my blog. I will not be like last year where I posted two things at the beginning of the year then went, *poof* for the rest of the year. That certainly will not generate any readers, or keep any readers for that matter, nor will it help me to write.

Perhaps next year I won't be the WORST BLOGGER EVER! I am sure it will take me more than a year to generate a really good steady audience. Hopefully by the end of the year I will have a clear idea about the things I want to talk about in this blog, instead of being sporadic and random. The key is that I will be a better blogger than I am now, perhaps I will talk about the other things in my life that I am trying to be better at. 2015 really was a very tough year and I am so glad it is a new year and really I want to make a point of it being a better year all round. At 12 days into the New Year, I would say things are looking better than last year. So, if I do not randomly write again before next week, I will see you then, or um write to you then! :)

Oh and HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Into The New Year

It is 7 days into the new year and already a lot of changes are going on. Since I have not been writing as I intended to last year, I figure better to start out the new year with my first "real" blog.

Now where to start, I should probably give you a little background on who I am. I will eventually put up an about me tab, but until then let me introduce myself. Hi my name is Ryan and yes I am a girl with a guys name, well not so much a girl as a grown woman, lol. Believe me, I still get odd looks and the worst is the mail addressed to Mr. especially if it is senior mail. That is a double hitter, not only calling me a guy but old, as in 65+! I have a good 30 yrs before you can put me in the senior category and well I like being a woman, thank you very much.

Okay, I have said my peace now onto more about me. You would think that most woman would like to talk about themselves well I am actually really shy, though you would never guess that in person. I am a single mother of a beautiful 12yr old daughter, who keeps me on my toes, I am sure you will be hearing about her at some point. Some of the things I love to do are being active, reading, writing, music, going to church, and well being a mom. I also suffer from chronic depression, ptsd, and anxiety, along with some physical chronic conditions, I will get more into that later on. With that said, I will say that most of the things I love to do, I have a hard time doing, which well is depressing in and of it's own.

To help fight that battle I have started on a journey to get well, not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I have a long road ahead of me, and I have already traveled some of it, but still I have a lot further to go,

Writing this blog is more of a personal challenge to myself, to get things out and to talk and discuss the topics I enjoy or find interesting, to help me along my journey, and maybe even help others and have a few good laughs along the way. I will probably be writing a lot on health and wellness, being a christian, parenting, and poetry. I have a lot more interests but those are my lifelong passions. My goal is to try and minimize the impact my conditions have on my life, so I can start doing and enjoying the things I love to do once more.

Well I think for an introductory blog that wasn't soo bad, as I write more I will get the hang of it! Now to tie in my opening statement, 7 days into a brand new year and a lot of changes are going on. I am dedicating time to write a blog, I have been "resigned" from work till my health returns, I have a new Ninja blender, that I am really excited about, and my daugher is going to be in her first real play, (ya know the kind you pay tickets for!) and well as sad as I am not to be working, I feel a big stress has been lifted. I really need this time to focus on my well being and I don't want to waste it at all!

So thank you for reading my first "real" blog, cheers! God Bless You and Happy New Year!
